THE OPPORTUNITY

Salary: $87,716 - $96,613 per annum pro rata + 11% super + annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience).
Time Fraction: Full-Time, 1.0 EFT.
Location: Chadstone campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Position Status: Contract of employment to 31 December 2024.

Become an integral member of our Apprentice Central team as a full-time Apprentice Support Officer to actively promote the Apprenticeship Support Centre service to Holmesglen pre-apprentices and apprentices, and potential employers.

In this position you will pro-actively engage with pre-apprentices, apprentices, trainees, employers, trade teachers, parents, schools and apprenticeship service providers to identify and support students “at risk”, with a view to providing holistic support and increasing retention.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience working within the apprenticeship environment and engaging young students with an understanding of their environment and its stresses.
  • Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety principles for a secure learning environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Vocational Education sector, understanding industry dynamics and practices.
  • Relevant degree, postgrad qualification, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, showcasing a strong educational background.
  • Ability to work independently, coordinate work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates meticulous administration and record-keeping skills, coupled with high proficiency in technology.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and counselling skills for effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
